Melinee and Greg are Midwestern, down-to-earth folks. They love the outdoors and country life. So when they decided to elope in Nashville, we planned a rustic elopement ceremony that fit their personalities to a tee.
We chose Ellington Agricultural Center as the location. Mellinee and Greg said their vows under the covered porch of the largest structure and we were able to take beautiful romantic photos of them around the rustic property. The yellow wild flowers were in bloom and the soft afternoon light was perfect.
The slight chill in the air was perfect for Mellinee’s denim jacket and boots, which paired perfectly with her ecru lace flared-skirt dress. And we designed a gorgeous floral arrangement that reflected the wheat and wildflowers of their native Iowa. Greg was dapper in white dress shirt and jeans, along with his trademark black cowboy hat.
It’s so important to relax and be yourselves when you elope. Mellinee and Greg’s love of the outdoors is reflected in every photo we captured of them that day. And, you may ask, are they truly in love? The sweet smiles, laughter, and knowing glances in these photos are 100% authentic. Their rustic elopement was perfect!
And speaking of photos, our photography associate Deb Scally Photography captured these amazing elopement day photos. Deb works with us on most of our elopements and we love how she instantly makes couples feel at ease. She knows each property so well and ensures that the backgrounds and light offer you the most flattering shots. Deb also knows a thing or two about posing, and we love how she works with couples to bring out the best in them every time.
When you are planning your elopement in Nashville, let us know a little bit about yourselves so we can help plan the perfect day.
